Questions and answers
What is Seguridad 360?
Seguridad 360 is a practical model from CiberCEO de Hoy en Día that integrates physical security, cybersecurity and the human factor. It proposes a behavior-change sequence —belief, thinking, alertness, action, habit, culture and resilience— so that people recognize risk before it becomes an incident. It is an applied framework, not a scientifically established psychological theory.
What is the difference between physical security and cybersecurity?
Physical security protects people, facilities and assets in the material world: access, cameras, barriers and procedures. Cybersecurity protects systems, networks and data from digital threats. Both share the same weak point and the same strength: human decisions.
Why should physical security and cybersecurity be integrated?
Because attackers don't respect that boundary. Physical access can end in information theft, and a digital attack can switch off cameras or open doors. Both types of attack also exploit the same human factors: trust, authority, urgency, curiosity, courtesy and distraction. Managing them separately leaves gaps.
What is social engineering?
It is manipulating people into handing over information, granting access or taking actions that benefit an attacker. It happens in person (fake technicians, tailgating), by phone, by email (phishing) or through messaging apps (executive impersonation).
How do I know whether my company is prepared?
A good starting point is to answer basic questions honestly: who is responsible for security? which processes are critical? do we use MFA? do we test backups? do staff know how to report? Our free self-assessment gives you a first reading in five minutes; a professional assessment confirms it with evidence.
What risks does a CEO face?
Among the main ones: identity impersonation to order payments, extortion and virtual kidnapping, exposure of routines and family data, leaks of strategic information, operational disruption from ransomware, and accountability to the board, customers and regulators when an incident occurs.
What should an enterprise security strategy include?
Governance and clear ownership, risk assessment, prioritized physical and digital controls, training and culture, incident management, business continuity, supplier management and indicators that leadership reviews regularly.
What is a cybersecurity assessment?
It is a structured review of an organization's digital controls, processes and capabilities to measure its level of protection against relevant threats and produce a prioritized improvement plan.
What is tailgating?
It is unauthorized entry into a restricted area by following someone who does have access, taking advantage of their courtesy or distraction.
What is BEC or CEO fraud?
Business Email Compromise: the attacker impersonates an executive, supplier or partner —by email or messaging— to obtain payments or changes to bank details. It is prevented with independent verification and strict payment procedures.
